Not all atheists are the same and one may have different attitudes and influences than another. No one in their right state of mind would listen to one atheist and decide that all atheists were like that.

As an atheist I don't give a rodent's rear what someone else's religion is, or if they believe in a God/higher power. The fuck do I care? People can believe in whatever they want to believe in so long as they don't force it upon me. Likewise for atheists. I already stated I don't believe in God, what more do you want? How can I "represent atheism" better?

i agree with you on the god thing. but you come off as someone who knows nothing about religion. you come off as arrogant. you come off as someone who hates people, rather then accepts people.

i'm one of those stereotypical "went to church all my life, went to catholic high school, studied buddhism in my teens, now completely ignore any sort of religion, and even find disgust with most practices and beliefs due to various historical events regarding almost any religion". ive been soaked in religion my whole life. its evil for many reasons. BUT it does do SOME people good to believe. my mother for example. I think its VERY sad, but i dont dare put her down because of MY opinions. she is entitled to do what she feels is right, and if she isnt hurting anyone as a result, then im fine with it. do what you need to do to make it and be happy in this horrendous, yet extremely beautiful world. just dont waste your time and energy putting other people down for not doing or saying or thinking what you do.

i have definitely met many more atheists and agnostics who know more about religion and the bible specifically then a lot of hard core bible preachers.

Actually, You have a point;thank for opening my eyes to a new light. I'm a seventh-day adventist.I use to think that people that didn't belive in god were atheist. Now thanks to you, i am wiser on this subject. I hope you forgive me, but i never i mean never thought non-believers were ignorant. I have my own beliefs. How do you know whether God exist or not. Its a difference if u belive he doesn't exist. But u make it sound like you kno. You are simple minded, There are plenty of religions who belive in God like, Jewish, Johovah witness, Seventh-day adventist, and many more its not just the christians. Just because you belive in God doesn't mean you follow the Bible. My family belives in God, doesn't mean we obey every single detail in the Bible., when you go back in time and get proof he doesn't exist i'll belive you.

I can agree with you - Non-Christians are usually frowned down upon as ignorant and not understanding. It's more or less hokas pokas, but many people still do come out fairly straight about it.

You can't assume someone is ignorant, simply based on beleifs, or lack thereof. You can assume that they choose to interpret life in their own way, which is a one without a God.

I respect all beleif, and I do not interfere with what is not mine. If you say there is or is not a God, or God has 6 arms, or is overweight, or whatever, I respect what you say, and think no less or more of you. I only change my opinion on someone when I begin to talk with them, and see how they speak, and express themselves on certain matters.

Like, for example, the ridiculous Bible Beaters, and Atheist extremists. God is supreme, and you're going to burn, there is no god, you're an idiot, those are the ignorant ones. The ones who do not respect other beleif, the ones who refuse to compromise, the ones who refuse to learn about other beleifs, or even just talk about them without swallowing their pride.

So, I do not assume anyone lacking faith is ignorant, I assume they simply they do not believe that they should worship someone/something.

Everytime I've debated a Christian, I've walked away disappointed. I'm not aggressive. I present myself as a Catholic who is skeptical. Yet what they have to say is always so weak. When I bring up questions, half the time they cannot answer them. Or when they do its an completely inane answer.

They are the ignorant ones. Most of the time they havn't questioned it. Those that do always give the negative answers to the questions. Negative to your conscious and negative for they are de evolutionary for mankind. I've thought a lot about religion, and have reached my conclusions.

I don't wish to debate. Yet they call us ignorant (more of why they call me ignorant.) because they can't answer my questions. Theres always silence, as they think and fail to come up with something to say back. Then they start insulting. They think "Well, I can't beat the argument? So I will start beating on the person!"

When it comes to religion, Paganism, specifically Asatru is what I like. I still need to read more about it. So don't go jumping on me about that comment. I'm ignorant when it comes to other religions.
