When do you consider someone grown?
Question in the title...
I think it's a maturity thing, personally.

Re: When do you consider someone grown?
Once they can handle their shit.
It's very depressing to me that I go to school [college] with a bunch of kids that generally are not any smarter, more mature, or more capable than the kids I should be in high school with.

Maturity really is something that applies to everyone differently.
I know people that are 18, who extremely immature, and don't know what it means to make an adult decision.

Re: When do you consider someone grown?
I personally, don't think a law can tell me when I'm old enough to handle all the responsibilities that come with life.
And like, I said, I know too many people whom are 18 that continually put themselves in situations, that if they were making adult decisions, they would not be in. Like, getting shitfaced 5 times a week. There are obviously a ton of other circumstances.
This is just how I feel.

But surely there's plenty of adults out there who make the same silly mistakes or have the same warped view of how to live their lives, humans are generally an idiotic species...

I don't consider those people 'adults' no matter what some law tells me. Hah.
But I agree with the last sentence.

Re: When do you consider someone grown?
Age is just a number. I've known mature 16 year olds and incredibly immature 21 year olds. I think determining when someone is "grown" is a little more complicated than a simple statement. I think it has to do with a lot of factors, maturity being one of them. I guess a broad description would be someone who's independent and able to control their life with minimal assistance.

Re: When do you consider someone grown?
i guess when you stop growing? lol For me that would be age 13. But people may continue to grow after that age depending on their genetics.

Re: When do you consider someone grown?
Hmm, random options for a choice.
I'd say 16. Most people are mature enough to make adult decisions by that age.

Re: When do you consider someone grown?
I don't think age really defines how mature you are. There are some 21 years old who are immature as a 10 year old. It's really all about how a person views life, makes decisions, and handles situations in my opinion.
