Dreaming
Do you remember your dreams often? Have you ever lucidly dreamt whilst being able to control your dream's content? Do you believe that characters and places from your dreams aren't just from your imagination?
Discuss your experiences with dreaming here.

Re: Dreaming
Hmm.
Usually I DON'T remember my dreams.
Lately though, yes.
Uhm... for the second I don't know...
Well, some things aren't from my imagination, and other things are. Mine are all a mix.

Re: Dreaming
I rarely remember a single dream each night, but when I do dream nothing is vivid at all. I can not consciously conclude when I am dreaming during my sleep hindering my ability to lucid dream. I believe the content of dreams comes ultimately from your unconscious mind, even including parts of conscious dreams. I suppose if I kept a dream journal I would be able to increase my dream recall, but I presume it would be pretty creepy to be able to control my dream. Have any of you ever concluded that you're dreaming while asleep?

Re: Dreaming
its disappointing in dreams were you have all these things and people you love, then you wake up and there not there and those things didn't happen

Re: Dreaming
I almost never remember my dreams, and when I do they are usually of real people, and either my uhm, fantasies(which are usually not fantasies that I even think about, just fantasies I suppose my subconscious cooks us); or things that haven't happened, but in real settings.

Re: Dreaming
I remember my dreams, which is why I don't sleep anymore.

Re: Dreaming
I almost always remember my dreams, which do tend to be lucid dreams more often than not.
Oddly enough last night I woke up after having an insanely weird dream and thought "I wonder if when I have dreams like that in reality it's an event that's happening somewhere." Then I fell back to sleep. I thought that because I was having a dream about people I've never met and they were having a really strange conversation.

Re: Dreaming
I almost always remember my dreams, and I can pretty much tell where they are stemming from.
For example, in the last four or five days, I have had three separate nights of dreaming about my schedule for the upcoming school year. I'm ready to go back to school and am anxious to see what my schedule will be, so I keep dreaming about it.
Pretty much I dream about whatever I'm currently thinking about in my life or what's already going on.

Re: Dreaming
Most of the time I remember them. Lucid dreaming is something I wouldn't like to try and acheive. It is a very hard thing to do, and my own thought on the subject are;
If you can control your own dreams, why bother with the real world? You may start to care less and less about the real world.

Re: Dreaming
Very rarely do I remember my dreams. Only if I sleep for extended periods of time do I remember my dreams.
