Re: Why is it teens aren't responsible enough to have a good paying job!?
I didn't get a job easily, the only thing I could find was stupid phone surveying people, and I hate the job really. I hate the job itself. The pay is ok, I get paid minimum and get bonuses depending on how many hours I work per month. I wanna get a job in fast food or something D:
To get back on the topic itself, it's because most adults are working based on their education and career path choice, also they get promoted, which means higher pay as well. We get all the beginner jobs because most of us haven't completed full education yet, or not professional education enough for anything higher (:
Re: Why is it teens aren't responsible enough to have a good paying job!?
Still beats the fuck out of these stupid phone surveys I went on a job hunt with a lady friend today, we got some nice offers like a gift shop, an ice cream shop, a kiosk, wall street, and some kid's playground in the mall. :3 Hopefully one or more of those will give me a call C:

Even an adult won't be able to get a good paying job if they have no experience.
I couldn't agree more.
This thread reeks of being a whiney teenager fed up with the realities of life.
I wouldn't want a high paying job anyways. I don't need a ton of money myself. I'm fine with a low paying job. I'll get some money, its practicing self discipline (Don't want to be angry or unhappy while on the job.) and its work.
If I'm working a lot one day (school, chores, a job.) then the time I have for fun I enjoy a lot more.

oh my god it took me SOO long to get the job i have now.
october till july.
that's pushing on a year.
it all depends on when you apply, and the town you're in and such.

I worked at McDonald's for seven years and enjoyed every day of it. I even miss it to this day even though the job I have now is much more flexible and pays twice as good. But, like I said, it depends which restaurant and where. I was fortunate to be in a good town with people that I easily made friends with, and therefore my employment there was enjoyable. Furthermore, I worked exclusively in the kitchen, so I didn't have to deal with customers, but that's not really the issue. If you're in the service industry, regardless of what kind, you have to deal with customers, and not all of them are going to be nice and courteous. As for the bosses... you can have a shitty boss no matter the type of job or where, so that's a moot point, but my bosses were nice and some of them are now some of my best friends.
EDIT: I would highly recommend McDonald's to anyone going through high school, or even college/university as it provides excellent flexibility for schedules.

Mmeh.. I'll give this thread a shot.
Let's see what flaws I can find.

Then whom? Then teens?
The topic mentions teens, so I'll just rephrase your question.
I think this is just a generalization.
Supposed you noticed that the average adult got paid a lot more than the average working teen. Would it be okay only to factor in age?
And totally discard bachelor's degree, experience, etc?
The flaw in your view is lack of imagination. You assume that a certain X is the only factor (age) and totally discard any other potential factor.

So what jobs would you want to do instead?
A C++ programmer, a chemist, an electrical engineer? A lawyer?

I say fuck all you adults. Your mostly idiots anyways.
