Well, some people might think that I'm a racist too sometimes, and I also think that USA always want to be in every single war, and think that they can fix it, but sure, there are good and bad people everywhere.

All of the british troops should have been pulled out of Iraq/Afghanistan/Iran.

It seems everytime I turn on my TV or radio another soldier is dead..

"American" is not a race....It's a nationality.

you cant judge americans on what their government is like or the wars because i live in the US and i opposed the iraqi war from the beginning and a lot of americans do. its our crazy president bush that has controll of that.

But judging others based on the actions of their government is one of the bases for nationalism and patriotism. It requires that others are always to blame and, to an extent, dehumanized. The fact is that coexistence with, which includes understanding of, people of other nations is irreconcilable with the idea of nationalism and patriotism, since the very idea lends itself to crude stereotypes and a belief that one nation stands above all other nations, and their respective populaces. To separate the people of a foreign state from the government of that state would undermine the nationalistic ideals, since it would require acknowledging that the people of the foreign state are similar to, if not the same as, the people of your state. Such a realization would lend itself to the travesty of considering that those foreigners are, perhaps, not evil and that your government and nation are not perfect.

I'm American and I totally agree. the US seems to get themselves into every war possible and stick their noses in every one else's business.

i agree but when they dont get involved sometimes they are criticized. Hopefully this november we get a new president.

yea but i meant someone in the democratic party(obama). McCain to me is no different than bush he says he'll be in war for 100 years.

McCain never said he'll be at war for 100 years; you're taking his wording out of context. He said if it's necessary, he'll stay in Iraq for 100 years.

While I'm not a fan of the war and hold the opinion that we do need to pull out, it's still somewhat ignorant to plant words in somebodies mouth, whether you agree with them or not.

and while they're in iraq there is war. the war ended years ago but today innocent soldiers are still dying in iraq. there are also innocent iraqi's dying.
