I'm suprised you didn't consider this before you said McCain would win the election.
although, you weren't entirely wrong.
I think 46% of the population voted for McCain. its just the Electoral College system is so useless that it makes it seem as if Obama cleaned the floor with McCain's face.
anyway, I don't think Obama won by much more then 5% of the total populations vote, so from a wider view the Election was relatively close, its just Obama had a slight edge over McCain, and I mean VERY slight edge over McCain.
I actually think McCain did everything he could to win this election. I think the fact that Obama's skin color helping him secure 96% of the black vote, along with so many ignorant youth voters, pushed him over to get the win.
don't get fooled, Obama didn't win by much... the Electoral College is a joke.
