i'm not quite sure of what to think of abortion. i don't think that i would ever personally get an abortion, I'd feel too bad. And according to most religions, isn't abortion wrong?

But i think that Church and State should be separated. Why should it be illegal for an Atheist to get an abortion if they don't view it as wrong?

If you think it is wrong, then don't by any means get an abortion. But i think it should still be LEGAL for safety reasons too. Look at Mexico. Abortion is illegal there, so many girls get raped and go get cheap ($99 ) abortions that are not safe or legal. I don't want any girl to do this. If they are going to get an abortion, might as well legalize it just so they can get safe @ sanitary ones.

Plus, i can understand why raped girls may want abortions.... Also, what if you knew your baby was going to be born without lungs or something crazy like that

I totally agree with you, Betty Boop. By US law (because im assuming we're talking about the states, cause its really only a big issue here, from what i know of) a fetus isn't a person. Its not a person until it takes a breath of air then it becomes legally a person. By that law, abortion is pirfectly legal.

The only reason its an issue here is because seperation between church and state isn't really seperate. This makes the decisions bias and unfair because not everyone is a Christian. As far as I see it, christian lobbists have no place telling me what the hell im going to do with my body. By law, a fetus is just another part of a woman's body until it is born and breathes. If you dont like it, you dont have to do it.

At this point in time, at the age I am, if I got pregnant, i would absolutely have an abortion. Its not fair to me or the baby to have a 16 year old try to be a mother. If conditions aren't right for rasing a child, then the child shouldn't be born. If the the baby is raised in abnormal or harmful conditions (ie being the child of rape, or theres some birth defect, or something) then the baby will grow up and suffer. Thats not fair to a child, and its deffinatly not fair to society to force mothers to have children and raise them up to be deffective in some way.

I agree. I believe it is up to the mother to have an abortion or not. But I don't believe in Abortion being used as a contraceptive, that is what birth controle is for. But in no way should a woman be told no to having one.

I don't agree with abortion unless under extreme circumstances.

Also, I think it's as much the father's decision as it is the mother's.

So if you where 14 and made a mistake you would want it to be against the law for you to abort the baby and learn from your mistakes? You'd rather have the baby and try and raise it, then the baby has a really horrible life. I would never want to do that to a child. And adoption? Like we need more children in states care.

I would rather give someone a life, and try my best, then never give a child an opportunity to live.
As long as you try your best, your child will always know you love them, and this is all that matters.

I haven't had the best life, my life hasn't exactly been terrible, but I know my parents love me, and although that doesn't make everything okay, it's better than having never been born.

Adoption > abortion any day, imo.

Oh, and as for me being 14 and making a mistake, firstly I would never make that mistake, because I'm more mature and not so naive or stupid to.

I agree and disagree on it. In some ways its best to abort the child if its going to grow up in an environment of not being wanted... also, when the baby is that young it probably wouldnt know any different therefore its probably best to abort the baby if you cannot be sure of wanting it or raising it to its full needs. Then in some ways its a real human being, so i dont think its right. But i think it truly depends on the position the parents are in at the time. I would not wanna lose anyone.

Oh ok, well for those children who moms are on drugs, and their fathers beat the shit out of them, if they make a mistake miss perfect isn't there to stop it. So in my eyes, it's not fair for you to say that its wrong, if the girl cant take care of herself, and you want to bring a baby into that? Yeah I think i'd rather not.
