He's twenty-three years old, we both have stable jobs, our own vehicles that are paid for, and a home. I graduated high school early, and I'm about to finish with college. We have recently started planning to try and conceive a child. Being eighteen years old, I'm technically still a qualified teenager. However, if I do become pregnant (which, as I just stated, we're both hoping for), I will in no way consider myself to be a "ho" just because I'll be nineteen years old and have a child.
I don't agree with very young girls having children, nor do I agree with people who aren't responsible enough (no matter what the age) raising a child. However, I feel that if you are legally an adult, have everything planned out, and have thoroughly discussed every single bit of it with your partner and still want to have a child, then go for it.

She is, after all, still technically a teen.

Being a teen mum myself I get a little pissed when people say that we don't know how to look after a baby as we are still kids ourselves and that we are taking tax-payers money. I realised asoon as i got pregnant that I was going to have to grow up very quickly and that the baby's need become before mine. Also I never dropped out of school. Both pregnancies I went to school up until i was 8 months pregnant and was back in school in the september.(My two sons are summer babys, June and July).
As for us not being able to raise a child properly, well that is a complete load of shit. When you have a child young you want to bring them up to prove to yourself and other people that it doesn't matter how old you aslong as the baby is happy. I know mothers who are in their 20s and 30s who leave their children to do whatever and that is not a way to bring up a child.
I don't use any of the tax-payers money, as my boyfriend runs his father's business and our two children get the best of everything.
For people who think that it's wrong to be a teen mum i respect your views because if I didn't have my children I would probably think the same your opinions change when you get in this situation.
And for those who say use contraception non of them are 100% effective. Condoms can split. The pill well what can i say about that if you don't weigh enough you will not be prescribed it and even if you are your body doesn't always react to it. |

But then I've seen them keep the baby, take honors and college classes with me and sometimes do better than be, and still have a life. It's all about how much you're willing to put into it. If you're willing to have sex, then you should be willing to take on the responsibility that comes with it. I'm not for it, but I am deffinitaly not against it. If you're willing to devote your life to being a mom, then that is all you. I don't think you "miss out" on anything in life either. Baby sitters are easy to find lol. So I'm totally fine with it, but this thread did help with that. I use to be against it completely, but seeing these stories of actual women having kids and raising them from a young age, really sets it in. |

Especially the ones who abort/fail at being a parent.
It's just a ridiculous situation to let yourself get into.
There's always expcetions to the rule though, and I appluad anyone who has a child young and is a good mother. |

WHAT THE FUCK.
+ the year after I left school, I found out the girls from the year below had had a 'competition' to see who could get pregnant first.
Now most of the year has kids.

But to make your thread and topic a little more mature.
My cousin is seveteen years old. Her boyfriend and her had sex and used the pull out method. Both of them knew it was wrong to do such a thing like that and they knew they were pay for making a stupid mistake. So, she got pregnant and she was really happy about the whole thing. She went to school, worked and did everything a normal kid or should I say adult would do while she was pregnant. She grew up fast because she had too. Her boyfriend grew up too. They had to make the best for their child. The baby arrived and she has been an amazing parent.
My opinion is don't bash and called everyone a ho because they get knocked up, you narrow minded bitch. Because not everyone is out there working the street corner and all of a sudden the condom just decides to break. It doesn't work that way. Some people do try to be to extremely safe and sometimes it doesn't happen. So, yeah don't be a bias bitch towards everyone about how the media and society tells you to think about certain subjects.
A kid can't raise a kid, period.
