Just to be sure, nature is what is in inherited while nurture, is personal experience such as how we are raised, etc.

I mean most inter-personal behavior is a product of nurture (i.e. how people interact in groups) but there are also biological factors to consider. For example you could have been raised perfectly (kind of hard to say what "perfect" rearing would be...but lets just assume) but still have SAD and not be comfortable around people at all. What it comes down to is that nurture, how we are raised, is only part of the picture. You have to involve how you are biologically "groomed" as well. So there is really no one sided answer. Both are necessary and have huge influences on the person you become.

It's not necessarily how we react to a given situation, it's that each person reacts in the first place. If you scare a small child, they cry. If you scare a grown man, he may only jump. The fact is here that they are both behaving (no matter how) in accordance with their genes.

But the whole idea of the Nature/Nurture debate is of questioning what it is that shapes our individual behaviours more. It's common sense that genes will dictate basic behaviours in all of us - the initial read-only data on the spreadsheet, as it were.
