Money: 470 Last Online: 11-13-2009 11:24 PM | America running in circles? Obama has been in office now for almost a year, with a liberal controlled congress and senate. he holds all the power, yet what has he accomplished ?
can you name anything he has done ? any campaign promise he has kept ?
i can name his kept campaign promises. let's see :
he promised he would hire no lobbyists in his administration --- he broke that many times over before his inaugeration.
he promised to rescind "dont ask, dont tell". hasnt done that.
he promised to win the war in Afghanistan, yet he was told months ago by his hand-picked commander that we need more troops there. he is ignoring that. up until a couple of weeks ago, he had only talked to that commander once, on the telephone. it is pretty sad when mcchrystal had to go on public news just to get the president to take notice of the situation.
he promised to end income tax for seniors making less than 50k a year --- lie.
he promised to allow 5 days of public comment before signing bills --- blatant lie.
he promised that all of the health care negotiations would be on c-span for all the world to see --- lie.
he promised he would require more disclosure and a waiting period on earmarks -- didnt happen,
Ummmm. Is it just me or are us Americans getting fucked?I'm pretty sure we are getting fucked. Can Anyone here name anything Obama has done that actaully helped us a little bit?Nothing he has done has done has worked.
Can any of you name a time in history when raiseing taxes helped a crumbleing economy? How about a governemnt run healthcare system that isnt shot to hell?
I don't think McCain would do any better.Seems like every year our politicians get more and more out of touch with reality.
How does it feel that OUR President has lied to us repeatedly? This is a fucking rerun of the last administration. The next three years are gonna be a blast!
Thoughts?

Thoughts? | it this new to you? every government in every country has always been a piece of shit. then again it depends on the person, as saying a country sucks is indeed an opinion. but if you were in the president's shoes you wouldn't be doing whatever you feel is right. the president does the best he can and with all he's faced with, you can't blame him for failing to meet someone's list of expectations. you can't expect the government to change when the people haven't changed. if anything people are getting worse. making a widespread change in people for the better is virtually impossible. |

Stop complaining. You think this is bad? You could've gotten worse.

Eh, still, I think most of the politicians are corrupt now. I'm still a democrat, though I think both political sides should start looking past the false promises, spectacular speechs, and great public images to what the politicians will actually do. At least Obama hasn't really changed much, whereas McCain would've made the country worse. |

I can't say that he would be doing better, therefore I say nothing in favor of him. But I would sure like to know why many people are against him; a true American hero.
