When it comes down to it "love", "lust" are just abstract concepts that don't have a lot of truth. What we feel as "love" is chemicals in the brain telling our body to respond to a person in certain ways because they would be a good person to reproduce with.
Everything can be explained by biology and, truthfully, everything comes down to sex.

I believe what is commonly referred to as love is generally strong lust. Most of the time, anyways. I can not speak for everyone, but from what I have gathered thus far in my short lifetime more often than not two people in love are driven by lust more than anything else.

I don't really see why someone could not be in love with multiple people at the same time. I think that too many people try to define love and decide what love is. It's an emotion, there isn't an exact science to it. Everyone wants to try to define love, but really all they're deciding is what they WANT love to be, not actually what it is.

I think that true love is very different from how most people actually think of it.

Anyways. Actually, I can agree and yet somewhat disagree with every poster in this thread. I think the fact of the matter, thus being in love with two people, is actually not quite possible. The actual fact of the matter is that the reason one most likely feels as if they are in love with two people is due to incredible lust towards one and moreso actual feelings towards the other. The uncontrollable lust towards one of the said people one would be in love with could easily be confused with love due to the fact that you could see yourself happy with the said person and enjoy fucking them. However, the other person you can connect with on a more personal and emotional level, but maybe the lust for them is a bit less than the other? Idk. I may be rambling and this may not be any help at all. But that is my usual take on these kinds of situations.

Of course you can love more than one person at a time, I mean you love your family (and there is more than one person in your family), you have friends that you love. Love applies to more than just the boyfriend/girlfriend dynamic.

Just because a person has an affair or dates a person, it doesn't mean they love them.

Although I think loving two people at once is unlikely, it certainly isn't impossible.
