WHat Does Cutting Ones wrists achieve?
Ok, This is generally a question for Those who slit their wrists. I dont ask you to describe why you do it - as most people fel uncomfortable about talking about it. I am asking how you FEEL after you slit your wrists?
Does it ACTUALLY help you feel happier? Do you suddenly get euphoria from that little slit? Does that pain caused from the cut just not add to the pain your feeling already?
I have never tried it - so I have NO idea why you would do it.
Disclaimer - NOt sayings it bad or "EMO" - im just confused about it.

Apparently, because they have so much emotional pain from god knows what, it more or less is a substitute for that, because I guess real pain hurts less than their emotional baggage, which they think is so much worse than everyone elses.

Okay number one: You aren't EMO if you cut your wrists.
Number Two: I used to do it, and it started as a thing to get attention, but gradually becomes an addiction. For me, it never made me feel happier, I just kept doing it anyways.
Number Three: It never made my pain go away, in fact, it hurt the people I love around me more than anything. You have to deal with covering it up at school, and it just isn't fun. I am going on six months without doing it.

Well, it depends. Most people feel guilty and some don't think about it at all. I was one of those people that didn't care if people saw them or not. It was my business. I felt burning and stinging but that's it.

When I first started, I didn't feel happier. I felt like I had to tell someone because it was a bad thing. After a while, I started to feel amazed at being able to feel a lot better after about eight cuts. The pain went away, really. State of mind, whatever. It's a runner's high that makes you feel that way.
