Sexually Harrassed at my Job =[

Ok, here's what happened. During the summer, this guy that I have known since I was five, took a picture of me and when he gave it to me I hugged him like I normally did out of politeness and then he started kissing my neck hard. I asked him to stop and he refused. I tried to take his arms off from around me and he persisted on keeping them on. I finally got him to go and when I looked at the back of the picture and it said "I love you". Before he left he asked me if I would please be his girlfriend and I repeatedly said no. He said "Why not, you know you want me." I figured...well he's prolly just trying to flatter me. The next time he comes into the store, he puts his arms just under my chest area and holds me tight. He once again kisses my neck and asked me "How are you baby?" and if I had decided to be his girlfriend yet. I once again told him no and he had repeatedly asked me why and once again stated "You know you want to, don't denie it. We can have so much fun." I didn't know what to think, so I called my managers and I told them what was going on. One of the big bosses came out and watched me and the front end of the store, searching for him. He then approached me and asked me if I wanted to call the cops and I stated yes. So we called the cops and one of my mom's friends took the call. I talked with the female deputy while the male deputy went to go talk to the guy. I had written a statement as well as the only witness, whom was friend. The female deputy called my mom and asked her to bring in the picture as evidence and my mom did. They then placed him under arrest and read him his rights. Also, in the report I read, the guy had also stated to the male officer that if he was going to jail, he was going to commit suicide. He spent one day in the jail and three days being bakeracted. Now I have a meeting date set with an attorney for Monday, the 3rd. Oh and BTW this guy is now 76 years old. I want to know if I did the right thing..... please respond.

I keep having nightmares that he's going to come back and make me "pay". Please if you can, please give me some advice... I need it real bad right now!

I'd like to start off by saying Im sorry for what happened to you. It really is a shame that people have to force themselves on others because they can't control themselves. You did nothing wrong at all. This man deserves to be put in jail for a long time. A 76 year old man should not be hitting on anyone your age. Don't be upset, you did nothing wrong at all.

Thanks but it makes me wonder if like... if he sees me again what he will try to do. everytime i go to work i get paranoid

HopelesslyInLove i'm really sorry to hear that someone tried that with you. You did the right thing by calling the cops and making a statement. You should get some counselling or something, it may help. How much sleep are you getting? That 76 yo deserves to burn in hell.

You didn't feel comfortable with that 76 year old pervert doing stuff to you so you told somebody.

That was the right thing to do. That 76 year old creep derves to burn in hell for that. Just try to get some counselling, maybe talk to your parents about it. I don't know your relationship with your parents but it might help.

I'm sorry for what happened. That must be hard to deal with. I'm sure you did the right thing. And he might not think that but it might stop him from doing it to someone else. Which he sounds like a threat to society itself. When you see him, walk the other way. Stay in large groups of people just in case something else happens. People like that won't strike when others are around.

that was the only right thing to do. you shouldnt be paranoid cause if he ever
sees you again he'll be more careful of how he treats you. also he'll know that
when dealing with a girl no means no usually. lol. Dont get paranoid and if it helps get a restraning order or just a new job

Well tomorra is the meeting. I hope I don't end up loosing it in front of the attorney. I still can't believe that it happened to me. I used to say to my friends that we gettin abused and everything... that I knew... But i didn't know. I thought that this couldn't happen to me... but i was wrong... I'm scared what it will be like tomorra.
