Why Do People Read Books On Self Harm?

I've noticed a lot of teens reading books on self harm? I mean learning out various methods to cut yourself and ultimately kill? What do you have to say about it?

I feel the other way around.
I pitty those who read them, because the ones who write them make some good money off of em.

Re: Why Do People Read Books On Self Harm?

There are definitely those kind of books. And I agree to Intayke. Authors write such books because there are a lot of teens who are willing to read them. I pity the readers. If someone has a chance to make a lot of money, then why will they lose a chance? If teens behave in a more matured way and stop reading those kinds of books, then they will automatically stop writing them.

i pitty the writers cause they're so lame that they couldnt figure out the better way to earn money than to use teens who hurt themselves.

Re: Why Do People Read Books On Self Harm?

How can you say they are using teens? They aren't saying, TEENS buy my books, this will help you. Books are kept at stores, teens find it and buy it? Whose the loser?

Re: Why Do People Read Books On Self Harm?

Haha.
Yeah...
Why pitty the teens when they are the ones who buy the books?...
It's their money, no one is forcing them to buy the book...

oh c'mon. it's not like they write the books just because they want to express their artistic side. they write them for buyers, and yes they ARE kinda saying buys this, it'll help you. and stupid teens buy them cause they're stupid. i pitty them both. writers more cause they write those books knowing exactly what they're doing which is really pathetic. teens too, cause they're bunch of sissies who cant deal with their problems.
they're all lame so whatever...

Re: Why Do People Read Books On Self Harm?

I don't really pitty the writers because they are SMART.
They identified what's going on, wrote the books, published them, and made money off them.

The teens on the other hand...
They buy books that help them hurt themselves. Stupid.
