There are times where I just feel blank. What I mean by that is I feel nothing. Not in the numb sort of way, just emotionally. I often wonder why we are here. Though that's a really wierd thing to think about from my view.

~Drifting~ by Joshua Ward
Awaken into white feathers flowating
Look into the dark intentions of your soul
Empty vessel, you are no more
Smile as you drift away into the nothingness you were born into
Accept 'death,' this sweet slumber with grace
Float away into the hand that takes you
Never to wake or dream again, you are a feather
Light and transparent as the sun shines through you
Not an angel or a ghost, or the mist that rises after the rain
Not a thought or feeling; the aching heartbeat pounds through you
Dragging you to the ground, as your pulse weakens..
Drift away into the silence of misery...
There's a poem for you all. I basically am tired, and there's got to be a reason for it. I just don't know what it is.. I'm always afraid of losing people; friends, family, people I care about. I hate how on the news they tell you someone dies and they don't show any emotion while saying that. I know they're paid to do that, but it bugs me. It's perfectly okay to cry once in a while..
yo dude this was random but i no wat u meen i mean sometimes i feel numb (emotionaly tht is) and im always afraid of losing ppl and thts y i dont like the news AND LOVING THE POEM
Understand your sentiment exactly. Sometimes it really is difficult to sit down and put a finger on what the point of living is. If you think deep...you often just come accross a simple and uninspiring "work and live before dying".
I guess its down to us to try and make it something more special than that.
Great poetry...you have a talent for it. Keep it up, and show us! I know alot of ppl wud be interested.

~Drown~ by Joshua Ward
Do you seek redemption?
"Go drown yourself in a pool" one says
You're just a kid, so you find a pool
Inside the water is warm, slightly sending a chill through your body
Yet you pretend not to notice as the world is watching you.
They wait for you to fall; screw up
As you slowly recall the day before...
Your friend was mean to you,
So you told your father
He laughs at you, scoffing at the idea of his own daughter
Smiling a dark smile, one that gets you at the core; sadness takes you over
In your room you see on your t.v
The person yells at the other; the other cries
You become emotional and cry for such a person..
Over where daddy works, those two watching you were there
The whole world is watching, waiting for you to screw up..
Gently you play with the water for a moment of enjoyment
A brief yet bright smile enlightens your features
You are happy..
Then, looking back as the world watches you, you get into the pool..
You are just a kid, you know now that there is a way out..
Father shut you out, Mother died, so what is there?
You stare into your reflection, gently rubbing your face as it does the same
Fear for a moment is gone, as you have made a new friend.
You wish to see her, and so you put your head under, waiting to see your friend.
Yet she does not come, yet it is now too late.
You are too deep in the water, and life is now slipping away from you
Your breath becomes erratic as you reach for the surface, unable to do so.
The world is watching, waiting for you to come back up..
You do not, as you slip to the bottom, crying and screaming upon deaf ears for a way out..
Such a small life you had, taken so young, at such an age, death is not meant to come so early..
Laying at the bottom of the ocean, you stay for all eternity, a long time to wonder..
~Josh~
Note: This was written about a girl who doesn't exist; only in my mind. I hope you all enjoyed this poem.
