Yes it does make me feel worse because it just reminds me of the other half of old people who are lonely and depressed. Like.. can you believe that some old people want you to just pull the plug on them. They're given up all hope. They've accepted that their life is over. I find it scary. Knowing you get to that point where you have to accept the fact that the show is over and the curtains are closing...

yeah just makes me not want to get old. gross :/ YUcK i guess the human body just isnt that efficient. I mean people were not made to live real long the downward spiral of our lives begin at like age 25. Most professional athletes stop their sport after age 30 because their "too old". the disks in our back permanetly start to dehydrate when we are 40 and then we start to get shorter. 40 isnt that old if you think the world is like 7 billion years old and we each only get a life warranty of like 80 years. oh well :[

Suppose I saw a 20 year-old girl that was really happy, smiling and all.

So I don't see anything wrong with it.

But then, what if I fast forwarded 60 years where she is 80, old, and ugly, with wrinkles, and all smiling and happy? So 1 question would be, wouldn't your interpretation be all, wdf? How could she be happy?

Like all things, people tend to need a reason to be happy, imo. These are in real-time situations.

But I don't think such an 80 year-old is generally "more happy" than when she was a teen and such. Shrug.
