I am a pretty good actor so they don't notice. I feel great about it. One question. I have noticed people cry or smile. Is having emotions good? |

Except, my emotions of happiness and such, you won't exactly tell on the outside. However, if I'm sad I might look sad. Or expressionless.
I don't see much of a point to 'fake' a personality. If you don't have anything to smile about, then why smile?
Girls don't tend to like fakes (so you'll have to permanently stay that way).
And having emotions should beat having non-artificial intelligence.
But I think it's a packaged deal. A computer may not be able to experience happiness, but at the same time, it cannot experience sadness either. Or things worse, like shame, embarassment, and guilt. Who cares to argue 1 is better than the other? Why must 1 be better than the other? |

Nothing wrong with it at all - like the above posts said, people will respect you for it. At least you aren't showing fake expression, so when you do express something, its honest and true.
Make sense?

I used to stick out and people would poke fun. They didn't realize that it had no effect. I do feel a certain brotherhood to you as we are basically from the same branch. It seems good to know there is someone like me out there

Sorry, this argument isn't convincing to a computer.
In fact, how about the feeling you people get when someone cheats on you? A computer, for example, would have no emotion if someone cheated on it.
Having emotions is a packaged deal, you get to experience both the good emotions and the bad emotions. Unless you mean, "only the good emotions," then obviously you are correct. |

When I was 1st diagnosed as that around age 4, my Mom read all sorts of books on autism, trying to learn as much as she can about it. |
