I'm going to fashion school in the city.
It's like asking to be cut up and ate by critics.
Like I'm setting myself up for depression & failure.
I haven't even started my senior year of high school,
and I'm already getting the negative feel of being under the eye of others.
All I want to do is to make clothes.
Not get all the negative attention.
Not for other people to obsess over my life & insecurities.
Not to be judged daily and made fun about.
And in order for me to avoid all of this?
I have to work my ass off, suffer, and join the "Fashion student" stereotype.
We're all fucking carbon copies.
It's sick.

Don't go along with the typical stereotype, do your own thing at first, you never know what they're reactions will be, and sure there'll be criticisms, you won't get any better if you're praised 24/7 for you work, criticisms kinda make u wanna strive and work harder and make that person change their mind. Whatever you do don't let them get to you, it's only an opinion.

I appreciate it, but this is why nobody understands.
First of all, getting my feelings hurt is not something I like to do.
I'm not a mean kind of girl, so I avoid fights, and namecalling etc.
Going against all of it is asking for it.
Second of all, there isn't enough time in the fashion industry to not work your butt off. You gotta work your ass off in the first 5-10 years. Nobody wants some 40 year old nobody making clothes for you. You get noticed earlier, and they follow you to the end.
Also, what right does a size 6 have making clothes for skinny mannequins and models who are size 0.
Every single outfit I had to make for my interview at IADT was required to be a 0 or a 2.
I can't even wear my finished product now.

If you wanna work in fashion that's what you gotta do. I know it sucks, but they have to set guidelines for things like that, even if they're so tiny they wouldnt fit around your baby finger.
