She'd tell me off for chewing gum when I wasn't even chewing.
It just looked like I was, so I showed her my empty mouth and she said I'd just swallowed it quick.
Then I was late for lesson ONCE.
It was the first time I'd been late for lesson like EVER and it was only because my locker wouldn't open.
And she gave me 30 minutes detention.
I still got her this year aswell but she's being nice this time.

The majority of people do not understand truly how difficult it is to be a teacher, especially if located in a very large school with quite disrespectful students.
If you do not get your work done, talk in class when not supposed to, make smart-ass comments, disrespect the teacher, or any other unruly behavior, of course the teacher is more apt to treat you with more disciplin and less friendliness than he would the students that do finish their work and treat him respectfully.
And if you argue that you are not a disrespectful student, other than the "out to get you" theory, the other more practical explanation is simply that there are probably a lot of students in the class and he does not see you. There's been times in my classes in previous years in which the most helpful teacher I've ever met has seemed to notice me and completely ignore me. In her case, its NOT on purpose. Perhaps this could be an explanation for your going un-noticed.
I can say with quite a bit of certaintanty that 99% of teachers are NOT "out to get" anyone. They are far too busy and have more or better things to worry about. Sorries.
If you want your teacher to take you more seriously, treat him respectfully, pay attention in class, get your work done, and if you aren't getting the help you need, approach him and ask him for a time in which he can give you that help. I can't speak for all schools, but many of the teachers in my own are glad to give anyone help outside of class if they have the time and the students are willing. |

If the teacher THOUGHT they might be a "bad" pupil, and lashed out at them first thing, what does the teacher have to say for h/er self? Some teachers do that.. Just first thing. |

THEN... i got my report card today. yeahh. i got a b- in her class. all the rest of my grades were a's and a-'s. but nope. a b- in her class. talk about out to get someone. and we only had two assignments this year.. |

My history teacher last year gave me all C's in all four terms though, even though i got good grades on my tests. I only missed like 2 or 3 HW assignments, and somehow that drops my grade a full grade level. |

I'd always try to get help for our papers, and she'd help me out and tell me what she wanted me to fix. But then when I'd get my papers back, I'd still get a C. I went to her for help, yet I still got a bad grade? D:
Ohhh! Ohhh! And freshman year, my math teacher was HORRIBLE. I was in her enhancement [study hall] almost EVERYDAY to get help because I was practically failing her class, yet I STILL didn't understand anything we were doing. I almost failed her class. :[ |
