I modeled when I was a kid, if that even counts, and have modeled sporadically over the years as a petite teen model. Just really small stuff, but it was enough to learn that only a ridiculously small percentage of models actually gain recognition and are successful. I would save the money if I were you. Most companies that are reputable don't solicit models, models solicit them. Not discrediting this company entirely, but usually having to pay for something amounts to it not being as good as it sounds. |

You pay for the modelling day, it's like a training day, not like paying to get into the company ---------- Post added at 04:00 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:55 PM ---------- Thank-you Bhenji. I know, some models are really weird looking :S though it makes you think you're better looking than them when they're really ugly. I really don't get what model agencies are looking for nowadays! They usually have to be stick thin but I'm a healthy weight with curves. I would never lose weight to get somewhere in a modelling agency! It's pointless and terrible. Some photographers/modeling agencies can be quite harsh. |

The photographers really don't hold back with the criticism, but you just have to stand there and take it. I'm not totally sure but for guys they want tall, thin, good ab muscles, strong facial features. For girls they want tall as well (not as tall though), thin, and curves is a good bonus!

You can only thrive in a career that YOU are interested in and would give your best for. If you think, you're not interested, you might end up wasting the money you're saving for something else.
Although I doubt you're "not" interested in it. Because if you had no interest at all, you wouldn't ask others. There has to be some interest inside you and you're just confused. Give it some thinking and you'll know what to do

For some people though it's their dream profession, and you won't know until you try.

Again, I only want to be honest. Just do it though, this is a once in a life time opportunity |

You're still young, you will get your £100 back eventually. You can also think about it like an investment. You could spend £100 now, but maybe you will make the cut and get a fairly descent job at it so you may get it back in no time. Its better to spend the money you have now when you do not necessarily have any expenses such as a mortgage, heating, water, electric, car insurance etc.
Ignore everyone who is negative on here, the odds are actually nothing to complain about because you has just as much of a chance of getting her name out there as the next person.
Just do it and see what happens, its not like you're spending the last £100 you have for the rest of your life.

I know someone who does modelling and he said that I could join him in a photo shoot if I wanted too and get noticed by photographers. I think I'd just go for that. It'd be free as well. |
