My Friend Is A Druggy

Let me first start by introducing myself. I'm Steven, I'm 14, and in 9th grade. 9th grade. Where it started.

I met this girl and we became good friends, but as the year progressed I started learning more and more about her. She apparently smokes weed and drinks alcohol, and frankly I'm worried. I have no proof she does, although let me say it is a kind of "common knowledge" she smokes and drinks.

What can I do? I am on the edge of talking to the school counselor, but I don't know if I can. *sigh* I know I should, but I just can't, you know? I want to keep her as a friend but I'm afraid of losing that friendship if I "tattle" or whatever the fuck you want to call it. Can anyone help me?

well it isnt really up to you to get involved if she wants to do that there is nothing you can do about it, i mean you cant make her stop. but before you do anything i would talk to her first, i mean going behind her back will just make things worse.

most of the people i know drink alcohol, and some smoke weed. I wouldn't say it's that big of a deal but that may just be because i'm used to it, they drink alcohol for fun at parties and smoke weed for the same reason, now if she started doing cocaine.. then i'd start worrying.

if you're really worried about her well being I would speak with her about it first. Don't tell an adult without speaking to her first, it will put so much strain on your friendship.

tons of teenagers drink and smoke out on occasion.
is she really out of control with it? or does she only do it every once in a while?

if its not a daily thing for her, i wouldn't really worry.

My BF, Drinks, and well i asked him once and he said he has done drugs...he even SMOKES! So he promised not to ANYMORE, but for me!

Yeah.

Most people experiment with stuff when they're that age. If she's doing it just at the weekends for fun, it hopefully shouldn't be too much of a problem. If it's more often than that, or she's in potentially dangerous situations with people who are likely to introduce her to harder drugs, then it'd be a good idea to talk to her and let her know you're concerned...

if u don't like it stay away from it shes going to do her on thing you cant change people cause u don't like what they do even if u narc on her she will still do it i got told on alot in high school and i still did it /shrug

weed aint gunna kill any1 and it sounds like she aint drinking too much id say leave it be dont worry about it if things get out of hand talk 2 her about it but other than that relax ur getting worried over nuttin

chill dude. you just started high school, and you'll soon find out how many people actually drink and smoke weed. weed is not that bad, and most people drink. none of which are hard drugs at all, and i think you should respect her descisions.
