never had braces myself, i've been blessed with good teeth
friends say they hurt a lot, but i think they would be worth - you might end up regretting not having them later on in life

I had braces in almost 3 years, removed them last year.
It just used to hurt 1-2 days after they tightened the braces, but sometimes it hurt really much those 1-2 days.

But you'll not go around 24/7 in pain just because you get braces.

I'm getting fixed braces this Monday coming.
I've had 2 weeks of separaters because I've got such tight teeth. Finally after nearly 2 weeks, a separator has fallen out! It was about 3 in the morning and it was just there in my mouth. Lol I've had the metal on the top fitted as they weren't as tightly fitted teeth and it hurt to eat for about 2 days but I got used to eating differently.
