Whats the point of it?

I'm 17 (18 in 77 days)

I like every normal teenager has been trashed in their life and i have friends like most teenagers who drink every weekend or everyday of the week But they don't drink for social reasons they drink to get drunk.

I want to know why. When i got drunk i got drunk because i like to try new things and i like to know every point of view to a discussion. So my question is Why do people drink to get drunk after they have done it so many times in the past?

Depends. Some people drink to escape the life they are living because they are not happy. Some people are addicted. And some people drink it as a social lubricant.

I am 18, i only drink when im with friends, i don't like drinking by myself its kind of depressing.

I was wondering this too, my friends all talk about going to parties and just talk about how drunk they were and what happened. I'm only 15, but I don't really plan on drinking though.

i dont use it to hide problems, im not addicted, and i dont do it because of social pressure.

the lame truth is that
i do it because i think its fun to be drunk

I've never gotten drunk or anything, but some of my friends have. I actually feel no need to drink, now. But maybe college . . .

i don't drink that often really but i do it because if i'm out, i'll relax more have more fun and be more daring than i usually am, not a different person but i don't know.... i just generally have a better time with alcohol than without..depending on where i am

but i think it's more the people your with than what your doing that make you have a better time

i don't think you can say you don't like drinking or don't like to get drunk if you also say i've never been drunk, if you havn't tried it you wouldn't know, but if having tried been drunk and then saying i don't like it well that's fine

Most people want to get drunk for a good time or because "all of the cool kids are doing it."
