Getting fit for sports?

I haven't played softball in a pretty long time and I'm definitely out of shape. Does anyone have any ideas/plans to help get back in shape? I know I need to work out my arms and especially go running and such. My problem is, though, that I don't really have the money to get a gym membership. Any home ideas or answers to my problem? Thanks.

Oh & also, is there really any way to work off love handles? :P

Re: Getting fit for sports?

You go to a school with a track, right?

You're going to want to take a warm up lap. Then, strech, etc. after that you're going to want to sprint a 100m dash. take a 15 sec break then do it again. Do that 10 times then take a cool down lap. Do this once every day.

Also, you should use your weight room and lift for 10 mins or so.

Ah, thank you! It's great to have a plan, now, lol. I knew I had to start running but where to start I was oblivious too. I think that they started lifting for softball at a certain time so I'll probably check in on that.

Re: Getting fit for sports?

i know how u feel i'm the same way. a good way to get in shape is just do some crunches and push ups that way u can work on ur abs and get stronger in ur arms so u can hit the ball harder.

Re: Getting fit for sports?

I know how you feel. The only difference is, I can't really do anything. It's too cold out to go running and I have asthma issues anyway. =/ The only thing I can do is hit the gym and I have no ride home during the day.

Re: Getting fit for sports?

start your day with 20/20 push ups and sit ups, then end the day with 20/20 push ups and sit ups... you notice a significance in your endurance.
