Okay here is the story, i'm a normal teen, living a normal life! but i've been struggling with the problem of masturbation for many years, since i was 10yrs old and now i'm 19yrs old, okay.
How the hell do i break free from my addiction??????????????
I swear there is a physiological need to keep doing it!!!
I just watch porn and keep doing, it's been my habit for years,
You can consult a professional and your parents won't find out about it. Actually, I think you have to be 16 in Maryland in order to do that. I'm not too sure about the rest of the U.S. or anywhere else.
The main question from me is do you want to stop masturbation entirely, or just limit yourself? Of course, just like with any addiction, it's near impossible to end it by going cold turkey. Do your best to limit yourself to maybe once a day (if you even do it that often), then once every other day, then once every few days, once a week, and eventually you'll have it under control.
If you want to take a more drastic approach, I'd say delete all pornography off your computer (yes, all), throw away any adult videos/pictures you may have, and block porn sites after you've visited them (that means setting up firewalls, which you may need help with if you don't know how to do it yourself). This should help suppress the stimuli that make you want to masturbate, but you still have to use your own willpower.
If you feel the urge, but you don't want to give in, find something else to occupy your time. If you play a musical instrument, do just that; if you have video games, use those to distract you; even watching the news could help take up the time and hold back your urges.
As I said earlier, DO NOT try to end it cold turkey. I don't know if any scientists have actually looked into it, but ending masturbation addiction immediately could have withdrawal symptoms, which could make your situation worse (the problems you believe stem from your addiction may grow more severe).
The key to ending any addiction is willpower. You need to want to end it, then go through with that. And please believe me on this: I was in your shoes not long ago, and doing these very things helped me get through it.
