I'm trying to get in better shape before school starts back in August. I have started to exercise more frequently and I'm watching what I eat. Does anyone have any tips for weight loss? Specifically in the stomach area.
I suppose doing sit ups would help add a little more muscle and help to trim down on the stomach fat. The trick is to make sure you're doing sit ups with your stomach muscles, not your back.

just do bicycle crunches instead of situps. theyre harder and it actually works your abs well. also do alot of cardio. like running for example. try to run not jog because running burns more calories

I try to keep my calories to 2000 or less each day. I am trying to watch what I eat and stay away from junk food. I will start to do crunches each day and I will try to run when i can. I will also visit the gym more frequently now that I'm out of school.
There is really no secret to losing weight. Just eat less and EXERCISE. Before you eat anything ask yourself "is this food going to help me lose weight?" If not, don't eat it.
Also, it impossible to lose weight only at your stomach, or any specific body part for that mater. Definitely start lifting weights, you will burn fat and start building muscle.
