Re: Has anyone else had anorexia
it's not a bad thing to wanna "look good"
but you have to realize that "good" can mean MANY different things.
Please don't let ana take over your life again, it's very important for you to be stronger than it!

Re: Has anyone else had anorexia
I became anorexic when I was 11. I've never fully recovered and I flip flop between eating lots and lots of food and throwing it up to eating nothing at all. i've never fully recovered and I'm not sure that i ever will. Congratulations on coming this far. Keep it up!

Re: Has anyone else had anorexia
Why can't people just be happy with who they are?
I realize that anorexia has a lot of psychological issues behind it, and I don't mean to offend anyone, honest.
It seems like anorexia became a hobby once all the a list stars started up. Of course that doesn't mean it's why you ladies did it. It just gets annoying how EVERY SINGLE TEENAGE GIRL seems to have anorexia.
I just could never do it.
I like food. I tried going a day without it and I pigged out that night.

Re: Has anyone else had anorexia
For most people they dont mean to get dangerously thin. I was a gymnast and would get in trouble and made fun of by coaches constantly because of my weight. I decided to diet to change that. Mind you I was only 11. You dont notice that you're spiraling out of control. The compliments start coming and you just keep dieting and cutting things out of your diet not even thinking of it. Then people start making comments and whispering behing your back. Even then you deny it because you just dont see what their talking about. For me I got so fed up with trying to control what I ate that I started eating everything in sight... like literally grotesque amounts of food then just threw it up. Its been scientifically proven, i think, that throwing up releases indorfins which calm you down and make you happy. It stops being about weight and becomes all about control. There are some girls today who become anorexic just because its the next fad. I dont know about their side of the story so.... Its hard to explain. But there's my best shot at it.

Well thanks for enlightening me about yours. I'm sorry about that.
You better now, though, right?

Re: Has anyone else had anorexia
Mmmmm... I can't handle the anorexia. I'm still throwing up pretty much everyday though. I got dangerously skinny around winter but gained it all back. So I guess I'm not really better. I dont know if I'll ever be, not trying to sound all gloomy but eh. I've tried to get better but I just haven't found the strength yet.

Re: Has anyone else had anorexia
See. I haven't had an eating disorder.
My addiction was cutting. I was so addicted and each time it got even more worse than before. That's addiction.
You just have to be a strong person and can't succumb to weakness.
Get treatment or something, hun.

Re: Has anyone else had anorexia
I did that for awhile too. I still get bad urges but instead of cutting I just throw up. So I guess i kinda just traded off. Not exactly a good thing. And I know this is a bad thing to say but I'm just not ready to get better and I know it. I'm not happy with the way things are going in my life but what I'm doing doesn't exactly bother me for now. I've tried and wanted to quit like a zillion times. But no luck. I'll find the will to quit soon.... I hope.

Re: Has anyone else had anorexia
Starving yourself doesnt make you look good. Bone is not sexy. You eat whatever you want but you get into the gym and tone your ass and you're sexy. There you go, the secret of seduction. Women, the mistery is solved.

Monkey's right, bones aren't sexy >< I really wish I wasn't that skinny. I guess it's because I love snacking on fruits & veggies or something, Iunno.

Re: Has anyone else had anorexia
They should make a show called "The Biggest Gain...er". That or lock anorexic's and obese's in a room for six weeks.
