Has anyone else had anorexia

Hi I thought that it might do me some good to tell you all about a particular part of my life that not many people know about as I keep most of my life private. I was hospitalized last year for 7 months because I had been anorexic for 1 year until I finally got help and I am now hoping that I don't become anorexic again as that is another one of the reasons why the doctors admitted me to hospital so that they can be sure that I am eating healthily and eating enough for 2 ok thanks for letting me share this piece of information.

Better you recover now...I never been experience that kind of problem before even to my entire family...I can say that I'm a very slim person but I eat well so I think that is not my problem...Also I am healthy maybe I am just a small type of person...Anyway I think its hard to have that kind of problem...you suffer psychologically and physically...hands up to you girl you survive...

I had been anorexic too...It's kind of freaky, it took me a long time to recover and still I am a bit obsessed with how I look...but at least I'm eating healthily. It's good that you fought it and managed to ''win the battle''

well not exactly anorexia but im a compulsive exerciser. I feel like i constantly have to be working out or i get angry and i obsess over my body fat percentage. Right now im at 14 percent body fat and normal is 15-25 for women but you can go as low as 12 percent and still be okay its only when u drop below that. I eat 3 meals a day but i usually dont get in the calories i need not that i am trying to stop eating i just dont have time for it. my friends think im borderline anorexic because of my obsession with my body fat percentage and exercise habits although i dont think im anorexic because i eat food i just exercise every day like 2+ hours of swimming, biking or running or lifting.

also neither is healthy and good luck i hope u are okay

Yeah I am not completely recovered yet but I am slowly getting there and I still don't like the way I look but I am coming to terms with it, its nice to know that I'm not alone.

It's not really a big deal to me anymore. I've tried recovery time and time again, but I've started to accept that it's just a part of who I am. I've only been dangerously underweight once or twice. I know my limits. I also know that if I eat like a regular person, I'm not going to be happy with who I am. Despite my weight, my doctor's can't find anything wrong with me. I supplement my vitamins. I mean, I know it's not good, but at least I have my shit together...

Wow, well done that's pretty scary thing to go through. Well done and good luck for the future.

Not anorexia, I think it's bullimia when you do loads of excersize. Please tell someone or seek help.

Nope, I just have lean muscle - training for the Royal Marines. I eat 6 meals a day

No, bulimia is when you force yourself to throw up.

I had a mild form of it for about a year, but my BMI only went down to 16.1, so I got off pretty easy thankfully ^_^
