Want to look good
Hey Guys,
This is my first post and everything, so I shall start of by saying hi
Anyway, I am a 16 year old male and I have just finished my GCSE's exams. I am not what you could class as overweight, but I could definitely stand to loose a bit of weight.
So anyway, at my school there is this girl that I really like, more than any girl I have before and I really want to actually just get with her but at the moment that is not even a possibility.
Now I have finished school, I have nothing to do until September, and by then, I want to look great, and I do not want to be fat, have man boobs etc lmaoo, I want to be toned and look very good. So getting to the point, what do you guys here suggest? I don't just want to loose a bit of weight, I want to loose the amount that would totally get rid of any fat and so i look toned and everything.
Like I said, I have 3 months of doing nothing, So I am willing to commit EVERY DAY to this cause, so what would really help me loose weight? I cannot get to a gym, since the closest one is over 50 miles away since I live in the country, and I also have not a lot of money to spend on anything that might help
So, thats my goal, I want to loose enough weight to make me look great and skinny, in order to attract a girl! What a world we live in, eh?  I am also doing it for personal reasons, such as getting more confidence, and getting fitter for when the football season starts. But anyway, please reply back on how you think I can achieve this feat, I would really appreciate it!

Run. The most important aspect to working out is eating healthy, so you'd have to commit yourself to a very healthy diet.
You have nothing to do, so run a lot, when you're not running, walk as well. You also should work your stomach out, start by doing sit-ups and work your way to bicycle crunches.

Thanks a lot for your advice guys, Definitely going to be running a lot these next months!
Erm, I weight about 12 and a half stone, and I am a little under 6 Foot i think, around 5 10/11 or so

Well i suggest start running also. Running burns the most calories per minute than any other sport except for cross country skiing. I would not suggest running everyday since you just started because of overuse injuries. I would suggest taking atleast one day off and starting slow then building up. If running gets boring try rollerblading, cycling, swimming, tennis (burns alot of calories), jump rope anything aerobic will burn calories and fat. Resistance training will build muscle. Now if you run you will have muscle TONE in your legs but not necessarily mass. I suggest a combination of both for the best results. Since you havent a gym try pushups and situps. If you dont have any weights pushups is the best resistance training exercise for the arms since it works most of the muscles.

Yeah that does help a lot. I do have some weights at home so I might start using them. I will also start gradually pushing my running further, But ATM I am already doing quite a bit, Since I am not totally unfit as I play for a few football teams, i just really want to change my look
What would you guys say is a good distance to jog and how often if I want to achieve my goal?

Do a lot of cardio like running, cycling, skating, boxing, etc. You should also do toning exercises. Lift weights (if you don't have weights, Walmart sells some pretty cheap.) You might also want to do some Pilates and find some good ab routines online. Make sure you're eating healthy and drinking plenty of water.

id say burn atleast 500 calories 5 times a week for athletic performance and good fitness. Thats about 5 miles. you can vary between 3-6 miles. I would assume anything less than 3 would be a waste of time lol.

When you say that do you mean between 3-6 miles a day, or 3-6 miles in 5 days? I don't mind which one, just want to make sure I follow

between 3 and 6 miles a day around 3-5 days a week so between 9-30 miles a week. 9minimum and 30 maximum for starting out just depending how you feel. =)

Well dude before you put on muscle and tone you need to get rib of the fat you want gone, i do 1 hour work in the gym every day, so i build up tone but im not calling you fat but you should loose the excess fat you have via swimming or running then start on the weights, in the end a girl will choose you over your personality not your looks (lets hope)

Ok thanks for your advice guys!
So basically, If I do that amount of running as well as other things, eat healthy and drink a lot of water, I should be able to loose the excess fat and generally look better?
