Question Do you think i'll lose alot of weight doing this?

Okay so if i run on the tredmill for 45 minutes a day 5 times a week and lift weights (light weights) for a month and cut down on what i eat how much weight do you think i will lose by the end of the month?

im 5'3 and i weigh 120 and i dont like it.

shoot i weigh more than you and i dont think im fat
or need to loose weight.

You might actually gain weight (muscle). They only way to get your weight down is to eat RIGHT and do some cardio every day. Eating junk will put on soft fat that nobody wants, but eating good stuff and doing a regular workout will keep you trim.

You don't really need to lose weight, and if you do, you probably shouldn't lose more than 5 or so lbs, probably less. Around 115-120 is a good weight for your height.

Since you're already small...you're going to find it's harder to lose weight. Most likely you'll drop 4-5lbs in the first 2 and a half weeks, and then you'll start putting on muscle. I'd say in the month...at most you'd lose 2 lbs. The important thing is to realize you're losing fat and building muscle. The big thing is that you eat right (3 good meals a day...big breakfast, medium lunch, small dinner), stay hydrated, and stay on a routine.

I'm sorry, but unlike these other people who don't seem to know a lot, there is no way to tell, unless we can see/know more about you. Every body reacts different. But yes, doing all that stuff should put you in excellent shape.

Edit: Don't cut down what you eat. WATCH what you eat. Eat more vegetables, stay away from sweets, etc. You know the drill.

You're weight won't drop. You'll gain muscle. And everyone knows muscle weights more than fat. So, there you go. I think you also need to look out for your calorie intake. That plays a big role in losing weight.

you probably wont gain muscle.... cardio puts on minimal muscle, and if it does, you'd lose more weight in fat than gain in muscle

you have the right idea with low weights. high weights will put on muscle.

anyway, i would take it easy on this, because you really arent fat and if you overdo it, you can end up hurting your body

i would recommend drinking more water, but keeping your diet as it is now for the first week and alter it as you learn how you deal with excerize.

I'd say... you could lose about 8 pounds (its harder to lose weight when you dont have much to begin with )

perhaps someone should just make a thread about weight loss with all the points on what you should do and not do which everyone can look at, ive been seeing lots of threads on how to lose weight.
I would be good for you to ask a PTI at a gym for advice, they know what there doin and should lead you on the right foot.

Lifting weights is pointless unless they're relatively heavy. Weight lifting is not meant to help you lose weight. Just do cardio.
