being taller through diet?

i'm currently <1.7m...but i think being a bit taller won't be bad
can anyone give me some guides of being taller through diet? more to the natural method
(that means without pills, medications and what so ever)
i've googled it up but only stupid results appear
some advices might also help..

Re: being taller through diet?

No, human growth hormone only works when you're at your growing age.

The child's bone has cartilage at both end. The cartilage itself expands on both sides (so the center of your bone doesn't grow).

Once all the cartilage is gone, your bone can't grow anymore.

But since we don't know your age, well it's really if you got cartilage left on your bones.

Re: being taller through diet?

You can't diet and become taller.
To grow, you need to eat, and when you eat and you grow, you become taller. You need to keep eating the right foods and eat 3 balanced meals a day, and make sure you get enough vitamins and nutrition.
When you diet, you're not really getting enough food or nutrition, so therefore it becomes harder for you to grow taller and can even stunt your growth.

When the word diet was used in this context, it doesn't mean the same as what you're thinking. The original poster didn't mean diet in a "going on a diet to lose weight" sense, but a daily diet. Everyone has a daily diet, that's the foods the person eats.

Re: being taller through diet?

It's NOT possible to grow taller by eating certain foods. Sorry - it's just not gonna happen. Height is genetically pre-determined.

No matter what you eat you wont get taller, sorry.

Saying that, if you are not getting enough vitamins, minerals, proteins and carbs you will not grow to your full potential. I would also suggest not weight lifting until you are fully grown. If you are getting enough of these then increasing the amounts will not help you, sorry.

Damn it, while I'm satisfied with my height (5'11 and still growing) I drank loads of milk thinking it would make me grow when I was younger.
