You can't diet and become taller.
To grow, you need to eat, and when you eat and you grow, you become taller. You need to keep eating the right foods and eat 3 balanced meals a day, and make sure you get enough vitamins and nutrition.
When you diet, you're not really getting enough food or nutrition, so therefore it becomes harder for you to grow taller and can even stunt your growth.

When the word diet was used in this context, it doesn't mean the same as what you're thinking. The original poster didn't mean diet in a "going on a diet to lose weight" sense, but a daily diet. Everyone has a daily diet, that's the foods the person eats.
It's NOT possible to grow taller by eating certain foods. Sorry - it's just not gonna happen. Height is genetically pre-determined.
No matter what you eat you wont get taller, sorry.
Saying that, if you are not getting enough vitamins, minerals, proteins and carbs you will not grow to your full potential. I would also suggest not weight lifting until you are fully grown. If you are getting enough of these then increasing the amounts will not help you, sorry.
