For those who don't know what it is: Vegemite ( /ˈvedʒɪmɑɪt/) is a dark brown savoury food paste made from yeast extract, used mainly as a spread on sandwiches, toast and cracker biscuits

Hell yeah.
I'm Australian so of course i have. Mainly have it on toast, But it goes well on Boiled egg too.
Yeah, Don't try that other crap (Marmite?) nothing beats the real thing.
You haven't eaten Vegemite till you try the real thing.

Vegemite is either that which you like or you don't. I'm so-so with it. But on arrival to England and later shopping in a supermarket, I saw something similar called Marmite. It's basically the same, maybe a bit darker.
What I do like is Bovril. Again - it's English. There are two alternatives: Bovril *Veg or Bovril *meat. I quite like the *meat. Great on hot buttered toast, too.

Because Marmite simply is not Vegemite.

Marmite is not Vegemite because the ingredients differ. But the taste is similar because the contents of both products use vegetable extracts as the base. Plus a lot of salt, let it be said.
Some like the taste of either - and some don't. But for anyone who has never eaten either, make sure to spread it thinly because too much will almost certainly put you off.
Just remember one thing, guys and it's important. We girls dislike Vegimite/Marmite kisses. It's a sure romance killer.
