todays topic is teenage obescity in america

My high school has cut down on the type of "junk food" that is being sold during school hours, because they claim that there is an overwhelming amount of teenagers that are obesce...i don't think that taking away junk food at school is going to solve this epidemic...so...has this also been done at your school...if so how do you feel about it and has it improve the weight of any students there.

idk... they never did that while is was n skool... they talked about it but it never happened... they already started it or they r goin 2 nxt year?

The obesity rate in America is ridiculously high...and is becoming a problem (as most people already know). My school hasn't cut down on selling fatty foods...but we do recycle

My school sells both junk and healthy food. It's pretty much an even choice I guess.

its da same at my skool but dey do certain junk food on certain days

it kinda didnt matter 4 us cuz if we wanted junk food and they were gonna take it outta our skool all that we would of had 2 do was walk 2 the store that was rite nxt door... so it would have been pointless neways

i membered 1 tym wen it snowed reallly bad n every other skool closed but mine n so my mum made me go in but wen i got in dey put us in a room n stood at da door so we couldnt get out, we couldnt call r parents 2 get us or go toilet till lunch

the change of not eating junk food has to come from inside. i know diets arent easy and its easy for us to say "hey your fat, dont eat that! eat veggies!" but truth is most people dont realize how hard and dramatic losing weight is, its ridiculously hard and sadly most people are addicted to mcdonalds cuz of its addictive chemicals and preservatives.

bannin junk food from schools will not help because people will just crave it or rebel n sneak it to school n maybe even start their own secret business to sell junk food at your school. and if people crave it there is no doubt that after school they will probably buy like 20 to 30 dollars worth of junk food just because of that.
