Your last statement I agree highly. I see kids like ten smoking cigarettes, talking about sex like they invented it. It makes me sick to my stomach because at the age of ten I thought boys had cooties and was scared to fucking shit of cancer sticks.

Do you all not see it the way i do...Its just weed. Its not phisically addictibe at all, its only addictive if you have weak will power. Weed was not made in a lab like other drugs, its not engineered to be addictive.

Weed is a phase alot of people grow out of when they finish high school.

I find it disgusting.

However, it's upto the individual.
I generally don't say anything, because it's not my place to make decisions for them, but I disagree with it.

i don't think that smoking pot will neccessarily ruin your life. like that's not something that follows weed around. but my two main problems with it are
1. its illegal.
smoking weed is no more harmful than smoking a cigarette but it is way worse if you are caught by say the police. to me it just doesn't seem like something which is worth throwing your life away for.
2. its a gateway drug.
true that not everyone that smokes weed moves on the harder drugs, but it can happen.

i wish they made a real statistic on this. Not one manipulated by the government. They would take anyone who has smoked weed within the past 100 years and show if they moved to harder drugs. I bet only around 10 to 12% does.

Also, you never told us how rfrequently he smokes weed.

It's only a gateway drug if you have friends pressuring you. I smoke weed all the time, and yeah I've done mushrooms and E, but I wouldn't have done it if I wasn't pressured and if it wasn't free. If it was just me smoking weed by myself, I'd stick to weed.
