I grew up in a house where you either ate what was put on the table or you're really ungrateful for what you have. And I stand by that. I'm not dissing vegetarians or vegans. I'm just saying I was raised completely different.

Look the only way to lose weight properly is to do the hard work, you can still eat... you just have to exercise a lot and give it a good effort. Run, Walk, Sit ups, Gym etc etc just find something that you like doing and stick to it. Dont over eat, if you no your mum cooks big dinners then don't eat a lot during the day.

are you overweight? if you aren't overweight it's understandable she wouldn't want you to diet.

if you are though and she's going through such great lengths to sabotage you, just don't go near the kitchen during meal times. make your own food and eat it alone. you'll need some sort of will power to lose weight anyway, so if you take on the "oh i just can't refuse my mom's food!" mentality, you'll be destined to fail regardless of how much she complies.

you dont necessarily have to become a vegetarian to lose weight but if you choose to become a veg. then explain to her that it's important to you. If it becomes an inconvenience to her just try to do some stuff on your own and boil quick vegetables or something for a side at dinner.
