I hang out with three girls.

One of them is so selfish, manipulative, and full of herself that she makes me kind of question my own faith in humanity. She's a full on narcissist. Yet I continue to hang out with her because sometimes I am so bored.

The second is an old childhood best friend that lives far from me and is a complete reckless nut job and she's very bitchy. Don't much like being around her either.

The third is okay but she never wants to do anything and when she does it's a miracle cause she mostly wants to be with her boyfriend.

Besides them, I just recently ditched my 'best friend' for good because she was a disrespectful bitch to me and I never saw her anyway.

Why are people such bad friends? I thought friendship was supposed to be way more important than boys but all these girls ditch me for men all the time. I find myself thinking that I can't wait to find a bf so that I can ditch them too, but then I think, wait that's not right. That isn't how it should be...



It should be boys come and go but friends are forever. And it's not. It's the other way around.

im sorry that your friends aren't being very good friends to you, and you're right friends are supposed to be more important than a bf....... what you need to do is put yourself out there to make some new friends! even if they aren't close friends, its better to have a friend than a close friend that continues to ditch you. be very open to new people, be less dependent on those three girls and then their ditching you will become less hurtful and eventual you'll just ignore them or get over them all together... if you wanna talk some more about his you can pm if too if you want... cuz this probably wasn't at all the advice you were looking for!

You can last longer than you think without friends, just don't dwell on you're situation. You'll find a good buddy eventaully. Just ask Tom hanks from the movie Castaway. He gets stranded on a island for years and his only friend was a ball. I know it's just an example from a movie but it really shows that people can endure a lack of socializing for a long period of time.

About people being bad friends, you should know that there is an equal amount of good friends around too, you just need to know where to look.

If you're having these kinds of problems in your life, then you have to stop and think about what kind of people you're surrounding yourself with. There are amazing relationships, and there are amazing friendships, but you won't find them if you're with the kind of people you don't like.

I would try not to isolate yourself too much, it has a profound negative effect on your mind/social skills over time. From personal experience.
