i feel so rejected (help!)

Recently I've felt a little excluded from everyone else at school. I'm a freshmen and I'm not the most popular girl but people have been sort of ignroing me lately. no one starts a convo anymore. and when i tend to talk ppl nod and look away again! why?

I'm starting to think its all this labeling BS going on at school. My friend and I refuse to call ourselves preps goths or nerds and so we feel like we dont belong. at lunch we have to forcefully sit with someone and hope they dont leave. why is this happening?

Spread your wings, girl. Im also a freshmen.. I have a ton of friends... Just.. try to talk to people that don't "ignore" you... liike.. Not everyone in that entire highschool is going to ignore you..

Well well well. I think you should really just try joining clubs at your school. Who knows? Maybe the whole school joined a conspiracy against you and your friend because you guys are pariahs. But, I really doubt they are, maybe things are going hectic around your town and therefore, they're preoccupied with something else. I'm pretty sure you're not the only one out here that's in the same situation. Just try and talk to people. Good luck.

well...you're a self-outcast. High school has cliques. Whether you want to be a part of them or not....they are there. That may have nothing to do with it, but I still think its important for you to know that cliques exist in hs and they will always.

as long as you have one friend, you'll be ok. Try to make others also, but you can't expect to be friends with people from the "preps", "nerds" and "goths" etc and all hang out together. Prep will say... "I'm not sure if I wanna hang out with Lenakins b/c she hangs out with some goths...and that's just not my style" while the goth kid says the same thing in reverse.

Well, i don't mean to sound rude, but i'm almost positive the following will do just that.

Hun, your in High School. It's not all flowers and bunnies k. I'm a Senior, i've been through 4 years of that high school bull crap, and i'm just fine. The key is, to not let what others say and think bother you. Because in the end all you have to do, is worry about pleasing yourself.

One friend, is all you need. Keep her/him close and don't worry about the other groups. You don't nessacarly need to be in one to make it through high school.

Labeling and cliques are for losers. But their inevitable. You can't run from them, and trying to fight it...isn't going to get you very far.
