Re: Big arguments sometimes

If you read the end of the first paragraph, you'll see that he wrote that he doesn't have any friends other than his brother...

Re: Big arguments sometimes

OK, I do have a couple of friends, I guess, though they aren't necessarily too close of friends. Both of my friends are also friends with my brother. Usually we all hang out together when we hang out (I dunno why)...I could go over to one of their houses I guess when I'm feeling down, but I'd have to either walk or bike, or have my parents drive me, because I don't have a license or a car yet. So it's not really too convienent to do that..But it is a good idea, thanks for the suggestion!

As for moving out, that wouldn't really work for me or my brother. I don't think I'm fully ready to live on my own at the moment, for one thing. Also, both me and my brother are planning on going to a college this fall, so living on our own would drain some money that could be used for college (although it could prepare us for living on our own in college).

Re: Big arguments sometimes

Well, that worked for about five days...another great argument tonight..

My brother was calling stores tonight to see if any had any hotlines about what their hours would be tomorrow night...he was then talking about this to my parents, and they didn't seem to understand what he was talking about, or why he would even think they had a hotline. We then tried to explain that, last year, they had hotlines. Apparently our parents did not understand that. When my brother was calling, nobody ever answered. Our parents said "Of course they wouldn't, it's Thankgiving!". I guess they never imagined that people actually could record a message to leave on their store's line perhaps the day before, or the day before that, or the day before that...This wasn't even OUR point of the argument (the stores not answering the phone), but it became their point. Our point was that we did not want to waste our time if the store did not have the item we wanted, or if it opened at a bad time (we were planning to go with me, my brother, and my mom at about 4:30 in the morning, so that would kind of suck if we went down there and wasted our time).

There was some light pushing and shaking of shoulders, but we prevented any real hitting (although my brother tried to, I blocked him). Our mom and dad both yelled right in our faces and we had lots of fun.

Boy I'm glad that we lasted so long...five days about...so much for my dumb calendar...I don't know how we're ever going to fix this...of course I'll feel better tomorrow, although not much, and will think that we can do better next time. Right now actually I guess we're kind of trying to apoligize and work things out, and my brother and I are breaking down crying...we're such stupid immature wimps...

Re: Big arguments sometimes

Ok I guess we kind of settled things with our mom...not with dad yet...

The main thing was that he was not even trying to understand the argument, and was just trying to make my brother stop yelling, which of course the way to do so is by yelling louder than my brother, and moving towards him and saying 'this is my house' and saying 'that's too bad' (apparently he thought that my brother was mad about nobody answering on the stores' phones...at this point, he was not mad about that, he was mad that about 1 minute previously our mom had just figured out that my brother was calling the stores to see if they had the item we wanted..this was right after my mom and dad were arguing repeatedly with him while he was trying to explain that exact point).

Re: Big arguments sometimes

Oh, this is also immediately following a really nice visit to a friend of our parents' house, so it feels very great right now...what a waste of time posting on here, the only it does it make me feel worse and start crying..of course the only other alternative is to supress it, which like I said before, we always do..
