everybody thats complainin about their parents, i would just try to find a bond with them.

i always took havin my dad around for granit and well, oct 2 i lost him to cancer and now i dont have him here to anything with....its true, you dont know what u have until its gone....

Try to talk with him about this and tell him how you feel and that you love him, but that you have your own life now.

I know what you mean. I do hate my fucking dad too. He used violence with me many times before and until now I have not forgot it. I am in Asia and here it's ok to use violence to teach your kids (damn bloody laws).

Anyway I am glad he's dead now but still every time I am happy his bloody face shows up in my mind and I would get all depressed. I hate him.

wow...this is the worse case of being selfish I have ever seen. he obviously loves you, he obviously cares but all you do is say you dont want to see him. he's your father for fucks sake. yet you stand there, he drives for 4 hours and he wants to spend time with his child yet you stand there and say you dont want to because of what? you want to go out and see youer friends? you have all week to do that! he asks for just the weekend. its not so hard so stop being such a spoilt brat and realise he loves you./ he may not be zaround forever so show some respect.
