I love hugs but am always scared of asking for one.
I love giving and receiving hugs, especially from people i know well.
I find them great tbh.
Butthe question is, does it harm to ask?
Someone recently asked me if i needed a hug, i would have said yes but i didnt dare. I often feel i need them, they perk me up a bit.
If the person is ok with hugging aswell, do you think its better to ask or not ask? | Man, I used to be terrified of hugs. Recieving and giving. Now I give hugs. IT was really really weird at first, but not too long ago I actually went up to my adopted grandma(my friend's grandma who is going to take me in when I'm 18) and gave her a hug. Didn't ask, just kind of toook it..but she didn't mind.
I don't see why it would hurt to ask. Just be prepared that not everyone likes or feels comfortable hugging. I used to turn down a lot of requests for hugs, and if not requested and just hugged, I'd flinch and just stand there, not hugging back until they would let go.

Yeah, but its not hard to tell whether that person likes them or not.
Infact some of the people im close to mention hugs and how they feel about them and they seem very comfortablewith them.Alot of people are absolutely fine unles theyre easilyembarrased like i was.

I mean if you do it once in a while with a few close friends, that's cool...but don't start hugging them every time you see them and every time you leave...that's a littl creepy |

Its a beautiful way of showing them you love them, just like your partner. Accept as a friend.
