Is it fair?
Okay so i come home and show my parents my 1st quarter report card. No D's, no F's. No bad comments. No trouble with the teachers or anything. And my dad automatically says your grounded till the end of 2nd quarter (January 25th) because my grades weren't good enough and i keep on goofing off. It pisses me off because last year in 7th grade, i got horrible grades. And my parents didn't give a fuck. But now once i get good grades i get grounded?
I personally think it's bullshit.
Whats your opinion?

Yeah i know. But it makes me mad that also, my parents look at my weak points. Not my strong points. You know that good feelin' you get when someone says,"Oh good job!" and you know they mean it? They never do that shit. Sometimes i think that's all a kid needs is some support. My parents expect to much of me. Im the oldest of 5. Babysit everyday, that means i don't get to hang out with my friends. And i'm constantly grounded for various reasons. They want me to clean up after everyone in the house, and i have no time to myself. >:[

Sometimes you may think your parents are just doing it to be rude or hurtful to you. Or to be unfair. But in the long run, you'll realize that they're doing it to make you be a better person and be a disciplined person. They'll always want you to strive for better. If you get a C, they'll ask for a B. If you get a B, they'll ask for an A. A, A+. On and on. That's just the way parents are. And sometimes that's what a lot of kids need. Be glad they care.

I have the same with my parents, hence why I voted "That's bullshit". Yeah we know that they're just trying to push you to do better, but sometimes they just go too far, as I'm sure you'll agree.

It's their job to "push you too far." The problem with most teenagers anymore is that they think their parents have no right to "push them." It's a little ridiculous.
