She wont let me do things because i'm a girl.

I'm 14 and it feels like my mum wont let me do anything! Every time its 'because your a girl your more vunerable' It just gets soo annoying! I mean, I can take care of myself!

I live about 10 minutes away (walking) from a shopping center. She wont let me walk there unless I have 2 feiends with me!
She doesn't trust my judgement in people, even though so far, it's waaay better than hers, considering my friendly relationships compared to her abusive ones.

I tell her to back off and she screams at me and says 'You'll thank me one day' or 'It's because I love you'

I can't take it anymore!! What can I do?

Well you just have to accept that young girls are prone to being raped or attacked. And you are young. Your still 14.

You may not think so, but she is actually doing it because she cares for your well being. Its not that she doesn't trust you, she doesn't trust society.

well to be honest with you i used to have a similar problem with my mum. she would never let me do anything i wanted to but i then ran away for a few days and she changed. im not recomending you do the same, but it did work for me.

Yeah, I know, but I guess she goes over the top sometimes, and literally wont let me do anything. She wont even hear me out. I mean, I want to go to my boyfriends house, she says no just because he only lives with his dad? Grr.

I don't think I'll do that, but I'm think about spending more time with my dad (my parents are divorced)

yeah thats a good idea. my mum and dad are divorced so when my mum kicked me out, i moved in with my dad and it changed my life. im much happier now so maybe you might be able to move in with your dad.
but you are only 14 and that is a little young to have total freedom

Because his dad wont care if he has sex. Most dads wouldn't. Its like yehhh my sons rooting and hes only 14 sorta thing.

Shes just a loving mum.

Walking to a mall by yourself at 14... Yeah I wouldnt do that if I were you XD

Plus, youre 14.... don't be surprised you cant go to your boyfriend house. You think you can take care of yourself, but I doubt you can defend yourself against a rapist.
