Being an individual. I am seriously one of MAYBE 3 kids in my whole high school who don't smoke or drink in their spare time. Every other senior here goes to someone's house and gets messed up every chance they get, and the juniors are slowly going down that path as well. now because I can't do any of that (and choose not too) I'm often left alone. And it kinda sucks. I'm on my computer from pretty much the minute I get home to when I go to bed. I mean, I'm proud of me for not giving into the peer pressure, but why must I be alone?
The only thing that REALLY bothers me about this is my parents accusing me of never wanting to hang out with anyone. I would tell them the situation but knowing them they'd say I was making it all up as an excuse to stay home.
Aw, don't worry, you're being responsible and not ruining yourself with alcohal and drugs. I know staying home alot is boring and whatnot, but don't listen to what your parents are saying, mine say the same thing, they honestly don't know how it is these days.
hi natasha i am shushyam i hope you remember me and i saw your website i think it is of your personal experience you can't do what others do right it is also my problem
natasha i had sent you a message recentlyb please be a friend of mine and you have good thoughts, i saw your reply for daaweefolk's message and my name is shushyam
I think as long as you are doing the things you feel content with, you shouldn't worry about being by yourself, because being by yourself is apparently best.
Don't let what your parents say bother you either. They speak words of wisdom, but most of the time when it comes to friends they don't know anything at all.
yeh but what i dont get is how parents complain if your out all night... but complain if your staying in too!
i dont think you should givv in to peer-pressure.. they're the ones who are going to regret everything they did back in school with the smokin, drinking and drugs etc..
well damn guess what i just found out. according to a medical questionnaire, I have severely low self-esteem. now that i know that, I realize this situation probably isn't as bad as it seems.

While I'm at a smaller school and not every senior and junior is like this, the majority are. I too always would stay home and do nothing.
You could always become involved with something good or productive such as volunteering. That would take up some time and woudl be really helpful to others.
