I'm not really close to my family I don't feel comfortable talking to them about guys or friends or anything my mom drives me insane sometimes basically still thinks i'm 10 i'm 19 and I know she just wants to protect me but when I wanna go out she asks who with and I have to ask her if I can if it's with a guy she'll ask a million questions. Anyways me and her have had a tough relationship she used to be a bit too strict sometimes she'd hit me but thats all done I ran away before to my friends called CAS child abuse w.e but now were good.

Me and my brother dont talk at all really and my mom treats him like god when my mom and dad talk to their friends they mention all about him how their proud of them and it makes me feel invisible cause i'm barely mentioned. My parents always put me down I took a year off school after highschool and they'll say stuff to me like how are you gonna live when your on your own, and during highschool they didn't believe I could make it at all, they still dont believe I will. Anyways theirs alot more they do and say but they also compare me to my brother.

They think I should grow up get a job go to college which I am this year but they don't let me.

I feel like I have nobody to talk to after highschool when alot of my friends went to college we stopped talking and hanging out as much, I love all my friends but i'd rather have a couple great close friends then a million of good ones.

Anyways sorry it's long, kinda needed to vent not sure what i'm looking for in responces but I really don't know what to do.

welcome to family life lol, my dad went to one of my parents evenings once in like year 8 when i was about 12 , my english teacher said i needed to improve on a certain area.. you know as they do and ever since then my dad always uses that excuse when i don't do work and says my english teacher says i'm rubbish at english! completely blows it out of context, it was like 3 years ago in a pathetic parents evening that doesn't even matter that greatly. I'd just let it all blow over, your 19 so you should be able to do what you want and lead your own life

maybe try and get in contact with your high school friends again, see where they're at, what they're doing etc

I understand how you feel.. My Family sometimes do that. But life has ups and downs..Your 19!! lol Im sure you have many things to look forward to.. All i can say is live it up girl!.. You choose to smile or frown each day.. Do something new.. Dont get hurt by others even if its your family. Know what you wanna be and do.. and do it.

Ive never talked to any of my family about girls or anything like that. My mum asks a million questions as well so do most mums that care about there kids. I guess you just gotta prove them wrong.
