Worried about my little sister
My little sister Kara, who just turned 7, has been acting really strange lately. She's always constantly annoying me, but in the past week she's been kind of quiet and subdued. She's also seeming to be snooping around my other little sister's room (Kelsi, 2 and a half) looking for...something. Whenever I catch her in there she kicks me in the shin and goes to her room and slams the door.
I'm concerned for my little sister. She's not acting like herself. Should I tell my parents about it or go straight to her?

Re: Worried about my little sister
go straight to her, ask her why she is always sneaking around your sis room, and if she refuses to tell you, then go to your parents, but first try by yourself

Re: Worried about my little sister
i believe that u should talk to her, but, considering the fact that shes just 7 i dont think u will learn st from her. u can try, but if this situation doesnt change then try to find out what her problem is, talk to ur parents. i dont think that it can be sth serious, it may just seem to be, in her world.. dont worry, i believe u can find out, after all shes just a kid, what could she possibly be doing?

Re: Worried about my little sister
You should probably try talking to her about it...something might have happened to her.

Re: Worried about my little sister
Well...I found out what Kara was looking for the hard way.
I had this pounding headache last night at around midnight, so I went downstairs to get some medicine so I could get to sleep without cluching my head. After I was done there and went back upstairs, I noticed that Kara's room light was still on and her door closed. It was 3 hours after she should have been sleeping. I thought the whole thing was fishy, so I barged in. Yes, I know I shouldn't have, but I was still wondering what was up. She's NEVER up that late. Maybe till 10, but never later.
She was watching this stupid Blue's Clue's DVD that she used to watch every day until she turned 5, and was sitting on her beanbag. What caught my eye immediately was the fact she was sucking on one of Kelsi's pacifiers. That's right: pacifier.
As I stood there dumbstruck and she looked up at me in alarm, I left the room and closed the door behind me before she could say anything.
It was REALLY awkward, but she didn't mention it this morning or when I got home from school. I think this might be her jealosy of Kelsi and sibling rivalries and all that, but I fear it may be the prelude to something worse. Should I tell my parents right away?

Re: Worried about my little sister
Just tell her to stay out of your room and if she doesn't go into her room.
And see how she likes you in her room

Re: Worried about my little sister
I told my parents about it, and they had a talk with Kara. It turns out I was right; she just wanted some of the attention that Kelsi has been getting.
That didn't stop Kara kicking me in the shin from telling mom and dad at first anyway, but she's being her normal self.

Re: Worried about my little sister
sowns like you did the right thing and thats awsome but you should really do something about her kicking you cause if you don't she may end up in a habit of it and her getting her way.

Re: Worried about my little sister
Okay, after what just happened about an hour ago, I feel really out of the loop.
My mom and dad are out to dinner with some family friends, and I'm babysitting Kara and Kelsi right now. That wouldn't be a bad thing..except for the fact I am currently on double diaper duty.
You read that right: DOUBLE diaper duty. After the three of us ate dinner (I made a pizza WITHOUT burning myself, which is rare.), Kara went upstairs to her room, and I went on the computer like I normally do. Kelsi was with Kara, and all of a sudden I hear Kelsi barrelling down the stair calling my name out.
I rush over to her, and she tells me to come upstairs quick. I say all right and and Kelsi leads me to her room. There, I saw a total mess. There was baby powder EVERYWHERE...which was weird. I asked Kelsi if Kara tried to change her, and she giggled and said no. When I asked where Kara was, Kelsi went over to her closet, and opened the door.
In the closet, Kara was wearing her t-shirt and, to my great surprise, one of Kelsi's diapers. I was shocked as Kelsi giggled like crazy and told Kara she was in troubbbbbble. I asked Kara what was going on and she said when mom and dad talked to her, they said she can wear diapers whenever she wanted to. My mouth went open in surprise. I never heard the conversation with Kara and my mom and dad, so I didn't know if she was lying or not. All my parents told me was that she just wanted more attention.
I gave her the benefit of the doubt and right now she's going around in one of Kelsi's diapers. It's really weird and awkward, but she's not being reserved or anything. It's like she's herself...but acting like a 2 year old at the same time.
I have no idea how to explain this to my folks when they get back...
