First, he's trying to make me get a haircut when I don't want to.
Second, if I want to buy anything he makes me ask him first (a lot
of the time he says no and he still makes me ask him if the money is a gift!)
Third, he won't let me shut my door in my room, and if I'm in the bathroom he will unlock the door with his fingernail and come in if he wants to talk to me.
sit down with him and talk to him? your old enough to have a door on your room and use the bathroom with privacy..tell him your mature enough to make your own decisions prove it to him somehow because your only young.. maybe get a job so you don't have to use his money and show him that your maturing. hes just worried about you its annoying but it wont go on forever.

true, have almost the same problem my dad way over protective(a freak) how did i solve this??
1. tell him to back off.
2. start a teenage rebelious streak.
3. do the opposite what ever he tell u to.
4. install a latch on my door(w8 i insalled 3 latches on my door and on bathroom door)

good ideas except the last one would get me grounded for a year.
anyone know how to make my door so that it can't be unlocked from the outside? On the outside its got a split in it, and on the inside its got a regular lock on it.
Ya..so I was guna post a bunch of stuff about just talking to him..but no.
For the door, just get another handle with a key lock and replace it. You can get them at a hardware store..Home depot or lowes or something..or maybe even something like walmart. Its not hard..undo the screws, take out the old one, put the new one in the same way the old one was. Itll have instructions...
But I have a feeling your dad won't be happy about you changing the locks...
And one more thing..what about your mom or if you have older siblings or something? Get them on your side and try to talk to your dad..

As for the bathroom - That's a violation of your privacy in all fairness. What do you mean though? When you're cleaning your teeth, having a wash, brushing your hair? Or having a bath? If it's the one in the bath just tell him to lay off! Grow some balls and in a nice way and tell him you need some privacy!
Why not just do what I did and get a paperround/part time job?

install a latch it's a simple 6 screw 2 piece latch 1 piece is screwed to your door the other to your door frame very simple. takes less than five min to install.
or u could f**k up the key hole of your door that way when ur dad try s to open it it wont open(use a screw driver(philips)
a few months back my dad was pissed because i was watching to much movies on my pc so he wanted to take my pc away from me so that s when i started my "do what the fuck i want, when the fuck i want" regime. its working pretty well.
he sounds very paranoid, try bring this up to your mom. maybe if you explain to her how he is making you feel uncomfertable she can have a talk with him about it...moms are the best

That's the money sorted out.
I think my mom talked to him about the bathroom so that should be better now.
And, I have tried to get a job. I've applied for five places and no one will hire me. (although that still wouldn't solve the money problem anyway, since he'd still make me ask him before I bought anything) I wish I could own my own credit card!
