My Family is Broken and Im Trying to Put Back the Pieces

First of all, my parents are done. They havent been together for 10 yrs. We've been through some problems but we manage to get through them( my sister, my dad, my mom, and me) But now its falling apart.

I need to know something. If a father gets mad at their daughter for missing school, is it okay for them to take away the computer and the phone and a medical insurance card?

is that taking it a little too far or what?

Well I guess it depends on the reason for missing school.. but he shouldn't take away the medical insurance card for a consequence. You never know what could happen. But taking away the computer and phone is a normal punishment, if you did something wrong at least.

That would depend on the strictness of that father.

I think taking a computer and a phone away is pretty OTT and drastic.

Taking the medical card is just god damn stupid - what if something happened to you.

Why did he take the medical insurance card away from you? That doesn't make sense to me.

However, it is normal and okay, for him to punish you by not allowing you to use the computer and phone.

That is very weird for him to take away your medical insurance card, and can have consequences if something were to happen to you.

Getting your phone and computer taken awya is usually a common punishmment, just depends on how bad the crime was.

I once got banned from the computer for 6 months, got my phone taken away for 3 months and was grounded for 3 months all because my dad read my diary and in it i wrote "I hate my dad cos he hits me"

And one time he took my door off my bedroom cos my room was too messy. Now THATS unfair!
