Money: -887 | My Sister Might Be Pregnant and . . . I have no clue what to do. She lives all the way across the U.S.! And she's only . . . thirteen? Plus, the father lives in another state, too, and I grew up without knowing my real father also . . .
It isn't exactly official. She's just noticed that she can't button her jeans and, erm . . . Aunt Flow hasn't visited for a while. If she IS, what could I possibly do to help her all the way across the country? We talk on the Internet nearly every day, but that can't be enough for a situation like this . . .
I hope it's a false alarm. *sighs* I don't know what to do. Any advice for me OR my sister would be greatly appreciated. |

Usually you don't really start not fitting into your clothes until you are 4 months or so. I don't even wanna ask why the father lives in another state, but if your sister is pregnant I wish her all the luck and hope that her and the baby will be okay. |

Money: -731 | Re: My Sister Might Be Pregnant and . . . Really, the best thing you can do is just try and help her. Talk to her, and maybe if she is and has it you can be there for the child if the father isn't. Best of luck to you and your sis.

If she isn't pregnant - tell her to take a crash course on how to have safe sex and slap her round the head for even getting into this situation at 13 years old.
If she is - i suggest she doesn't go through with it. If she can't even look after herself, which clearly she can't. How the hell is she gonna' look after a baby. |

Money: -775 | Re: My Sister Might Be Pregnant and . . . she need the test obviously, but she also needs you too, thats good that you are talking to her everyday, show her all your love, make her feel that she is not alone at all in the process, but take this situation to help her to understand what she can learn of all this, be at her side my friend, if you can call her that would be perfect, this is also a good situation to be more united as family, you can be a source of strength to her.

She has to get a pregnancy test, then if she is pregnant you might want to talk to your mother about it, it will be hard to talk about but she needs to talk to an adult about it. Plan out how it will work if the child is born whether that be adoption or your sister keeping it, she needs to make sure she has a plan in play for continuing her education with raising a child and the list goes on. But the first step is to get tested. If you need some one to talk to I am here just PM me. |

Money: -553 | Re: My Sister Might Be Pregnant and . . . I agree with everyone else here, she needs to get tested immediately. If she is, one thing that you need to do is let her know that you support her. Then she has to make the difficult moral decision on if to go through with it or not. Trust me, I have had 3 cousins who have had kids while in high school. Not a one of them are doing good right now at all. If she does go through with it then she probably will not finish high school and almost certainly will not go to college. That will completely wreck any plans she has for herself and her future. Also make sure that she knows who the dad is. At least then there is a glimmer of a hope to get child support.
If she isn't pregnant, then I agree with Doughnut. Slap her upside the head and send her a jumbo box of condoms for christmas/birthday/easter/4th of July, you get the picture. She definitely should not be in this situation this early in life.

Money: -781 | Re: My Sister Might Be Pregnant and . . . As people have said, she needs to get a test or preferablly go to a doctor and get advice on how to get referred to agencies that will help her and support her through this.
I don't know how things work in the USA but surely someone whos only thirteen cannot be left to make decisions alone with a situation as big as this. She needs support and guidance from professionals. |
