Background: I was on a geog field trip for coursework (IGCSE) with two school friends. We're not that close, but sorta get along ok. Now as you may have seen in another topic, I am single and haven't had much female action...well...ever (I'm a guy before you get any ideas!!!) We had done all of the work we needed to do, so went out looking for some female attention. There were only 2 and one seemed to be interested in me...quite a bit...I though... The next day, we meet up, and nobody does anything. We have an awkward chat and we have to go home...nothing happened. My friend john got both their numbers so we could stay in touch...Mi fone battery was flat...

Now to the main point: My friend john messages both of them on our coach, slagging off them, their families, their country (we visited waes but live in england) etc. He fell asleep and I nicked his phone and got the girls number. I started texting her and she told me that john had told her one night via text that I was single and had never spoken to a girl in my life! I am now pissed 'cos I think that's why she backed off...ARGH I was close!!!! now I'm really down and don't know what to do. I feel like crap and am sad...
What sould I do???

Your friend sounds like a jackass. I'm from Wales and I can take offense from stuff like that.

But yeah it sucks when your friend stabs you in the back. Don't try getting revenge, it'll only make him not care about what he did. Just try make him feel guilty.

How is this an insult in any way? Couldn't your friend have been joking? Do you think the girls literally believed him? And do you think this is any good reason for a girl to simply "avoid" a guy due to that?

Obviously, the girls aren't very ethical/morally good if they think a guy being single and never have talked to a girl in his life is a good reason to back him off.
