Money: 4,519 Last Online: 03-17-2010 06:51 AM My Mood: | Omfg My little brother has been having a pretty high fever the past couple of days..
He came to me just a little bit ago wanting to cuddle, he looked okayish then.
About 15 minutes later, he started getting colder, then a minute later he was burning up, so I bathed him for a little while to see if cold water would make him feel better, as I was doing that I took his temp and it was up to 104 degrees!
So I took him out of bath, carried him and rushed him to my mom, I told her I took his temp and what it came out to and she didn't believe me! so I told her to feel my little brother, and she did, then she asked for the thermometer so I gave it to her, this time it was 104.5! She got him into a pull up, and called the ambulance. The ambulance just came, and the most heartbreaking words I ever heard in my life is "Sorry, We can only take one person with him, since his mothers here, we're taking her with us"..
SO I'm stuck her not knowing if my 3 year old brother is okay or not, or if he's going to survive, worst of all my mom left her cell here, so she can update me regularly,
My days just seem to be getting worse and worse!
If I lose my brother, I'm not going to survive.. I love this kid with all my heart, and if he dies, I die..
I won't be able to deal with losing Mayra and my godchild, Bryan walking out of my life for the second time then losing the only family member that really gives a damn about me..
I don't know what to do.. and I can't calm down, and I can't think straight, I'm seriously about to do something stupid..

A high temperature can be caused by a multiple of things, usually an infection of some sort. It could be something simple like an ear infection or a urine infection. The body is fighting the infection, and a result of that is your internal temperature will increase. They will get him on antibiotics, and I am sure the temperature will slowly start to come down as the infection starts to go.
Try and stay calm, and don't do anything stupid, you can't help your brother if you hurt yourself can you. You need to be ok, calm and ready to help look after him when he comes home

Younger people catch chest infections all the time, I know because my cousin got one a couple of times, and my aunt is a Staff Nurse in the hospital, and she explained that it's one of the highest infections in the under 5's.
I'm sure he will need antibiotics and will be fine. Try not to worry too much, easier said than done I know. I am always here if you need to talk Quote:

I'm shaking non-stop and about to have a panic attack..
I won't do anything unless he's gone.. then I doubt I can't keep myself from doing anything.

Couldn't you call the Hospital or even drive up there for an update? |

What you need to remember is that he is now in the best possible hands. Doctors and surgeons can work wonders these days. He'll be fine. As Aaron has said, it is probably a chest infection or something, but in the case that it is something more serious..well they know what they're doing, so you need to trust them. Give it time. If something bad was to happen your parents would have found a way to contact and tell you. Just stay calm hun xx

I just got back from being with him.. and he looks like he's going through a lot of pain, and it kills me to see him like that, so I asked to go home.. I wish I didn't but.. It just put me into tears seeing him like that..
So he's really not doing well, my mom wouldn't tell me what the doctors said. :| So I'm assuming it's pretty bad.. :ll
